Fulfillment of a Lifelong Dream
A trip to Nepal in 2014 fulfilled a life-long dream to see the Himalayas, but a heart condition created a medical emergency when the saddle on her pony slipped sideways and she landed in a rock field. Each chapter of the book contains multiple color photographs of the adventure, including many of the places in Kathmandu that were destroyed in a massive earthquake exactly one year later. The book includes a wonderful glimpse into the lives of the Nepal people and the Sherpas as they live and work in the highest mountains in the world. The travelers visited Lukla, Tengboche Monastery, Mt. Everest View Hotel, Khumjung, Kyangjuma, Namche Bazaar, Pokhara and Chitwan National Park. The vivid details are illustrated with over 150 color photographs.
